Restoration of educational institutions in the Donetsk region

The armed conflict in eastern Ukraine continues to affect children, teachers and the entire education system, especially in the areas along the contact line.

To improve the safety of children and prepare schools for the new school year, ADRA Ukraine with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is implementing the project “Ensuring access of children and adolescents to safe and favorable conditions in 7 schools in Donetsk region.”

Repairs will be carried out in the following locations:

Mariupol comprehensive school of I-III degrees № 36 of Mariupol city council:
• replacement of windows and doors;

Bakhmut comprehensive school of I-III degrees № 1 of Bakhmut city council:
• repair of 2 bathrooms;

• development of design documentation, manufacture and installation of a ramp.

Bilbasivska comprehensive school of I-III grades of Sloviansk district:
• arrangement of anti-slip surface and bicycle parking;

Illinivska specialized school of I-III degrees of Konstantinovsky district:
• arrangement of sidewalks, bicycle parking and lying policemen;

Preschool educational institution №31 “Peace” of Konstantinovka city council:
• bathroom renovation;

• development of design documentation, manufacture and installation of a ramp.

Dobropilska comprehensive school of I-III degrees of Dobropilska district council:
• repair of the bathroom and replacement of the front door;

Institution of general secondary education of I-III degrees № 20 military-civil administration of the city of Toretsk:
• dining room renovation.

Project duration: February 2019 – January 2020 (12 months).
