At the training for women in Dnipro, people talked about self-esteem and inner strength
On October 29, at the Center for Protection and Support of ADRA Ukraine in the city of Dnipro, psychologist Maryna Nikolenko held a training for women dedicated to the topic of self-acceptance and awareness of one’s own value. The event took place within the framework of the MHWP project with the support of the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada.
The meeting became a safe space where the participants could see themselves in a new way — notice their strengths, kindness, tenderness and inner strength. They talked about self-esteem, about how important it is to be able to support yourself even when the world around you is unstable.
During war, many people face anxiety, exhaustion, and loss of confidence. At such moments, it is especially important to remind yourself: I matter, I am important, I can influence my life. Awareness of one’s own value — is the basis of psychological stability, which helps to persevere and support others.
The participants learned to take steps towards themselves, which, according to the psychologist, is already a small but real victory.
Trainings for women aimed at developing inner support, emotional balance and self-support are especially needed today. After all, during war, it is a woman who often becomes the guardian of strength, peace and family well-being.
