ADRA Ukraine continues to provide emergency food assistance to the affected population of Ukraine with the support of the UN World Food Program (WFP). On June 8, Bridget A.Brink, the USA Ambassador to Ukraine, Matthew Hollingworth, WFP Emergency Coordinator in Ukraine, with colleagues and authorized persons of the village council visited the distribution of food kits in Makariv village, Kyiv region. That day, 539 food kits weighing 17.4 kg each were distributed. In total, about 450,000 food kits of various purposes, 5 million loaves of fresh bread, and 42,000 kits of baby food have been distributed within the framework of the project.

Food assistance has been provided during this week with the support of several other projects. 1,320 food kits have been delivered to Vinnytsia region with the support of ADRA Slovakia. Due to the project “Hope for Ukraine”, food products have been received in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, and in Oleksandrivka village near Kramatorsk. The assistance continues to be provided to residents of the occupied territories in Kherson region, in such villages as Oleshki, Molodizhne, Kizomys, as well as in Kherson. Volunteers provide targeted humanitarian assistance to the elderly, large families, single mothers, and families who have lost their sources of income.

Psychological assistance of ADRA Ukraine continues being provided within the framework of DANIDA project. This week, psychologists of the project have offered a breathing practice in video format to eliminate emotional stress. During June, 2,641 people have received psychological assistance in such cities as Irpin, Bucha, Kyiv, Dnipro, Vyshhorod, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Uman, Starokostiantiniv, Chernivtsi, Nemishaieve and other settlements.

Evacuation direction has reached a new level. Within the framework of the project on provision of humanitarian transportation in Dnipropetrovsk region, another social route has officially started operating. As of today, ADRA Ukraine provides uninterrupted service for 30 social routes in eight communities of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions. Since February of this year, more than 10,000 people have received assistance within the framework of the project.
