«For them it is a real event». The ADRA Kids art therapy event was held in Dymer
Children’s holidays and gifts are rare in small settlements. That is why the ADRA Kids art therapy event, which took place on July 20 in the village of Dymer in the Kyiv region, became a special event for its young participants.
13 children from families affected by the war took part in the meeting. During creative classes, they drew, communicated, participated in interactive activities and had the opportunity to distract themselves from daily worries and experiences for at least a few hours.
Upon completion of the program, each child received a power bank provided with the support of RadioAid and ADRA International. A pleasant surprise was the built-in watch, which caused sincere admiration and curiosity among children.
ADRA Kids project manager Maryna Piddubna says:
«In the village of Dymer, since the settlement is small, children very rarely receive help and similar gifts. Therefore, their reaction showed how much they were very happy and appreciated this support.»
Such meetings help children not only to relieve themselves emotionally, but also to feel that they are remembered.
The ADRA Ukraine team sincerely thanks the partners — RadioAid and ADRA International, as well as everyone who supports the ADRA Kids project. It is thanks to this support that children receive not only useful gifts, but also happy memories that remain with them for a long time.
