The well in Zachativka, Volnovas’kyj rajon, drilled in 2007, was not used cause of lack of water-supply equipment. Meanwhile the well and filters get dirt.

ADRA Ukraine engineers checked the well in Zachativka and found that it was necessary to clean, rinse, pump and install the water-absorbing equipment.

Already in the beginning of September, well cleaning and equipment installation were realized. Some analyzes were carried out. As result 521 inhabitants of the Zachativka have the opportunity to drink quality fresh water from the cleaned well.

The purge of the well was carried out under the project ” Improvement of WASH conditions in decentralized water supply system in Volnovakha rayon, Nikolske rayon, Mariinka rayon and Mangush rayon in Donetsk region”, in partnership with the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) with the financial support of the Government of Germany.
