ADRA Ukraine has been distinguished for supporting IDPs from Mariupol
On July 20th, “I – Mariupol” protection center for internally displaced persons in Kyiv celebrated its first anniversary. During the events, ADRA Ukraine representatives were distinguished by the Mayor of Mariupol for providing cash assistance to IDPs from the city that suffered major destructions during the early days of the full-scale invasion, and for funding the Mariupol Social Shared Residence Building that opened in Dnipro in April this year.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, ADRA Ukraine has offered cash assistance to 4 028 Mariupol residents affected by war as part of several projects supported by our international partners (ADRA Network, ECHO, DANIDA, CFGB, KIA, RadioAid, GFFO та IHA).
The Social Shared Residence Building in Dnipro is the first facility of this kind for IDPs from Mariupol in Ukraine. The assistance to this establishment was provided as part of the Lifesaving Evacuation, Assistance and Protection supported by the Canadian Government (IHA). Right now, 35 families are staying at the Social Shared Residence Building.
