About Program

The purpose of the Community Initiative Support Program (hereinafter referred to as “the Program”) is to unite efforts, strengthen the capacity and support community initiatives intended to overcome and mitigate the implications of crisis situations, focusing on the prospects for further community development and support for the most vulnerable populations.

Financial support for the implementation of community initiatives is allocated in the form of a charitable grant in the amount of up to UAH 180,000.

The community initiative implementation period is up to 2 months.

Initiative groups from Mykolaiv Territorial Community are eligible to participate in the first round of the Program.

Program Terms

Community initiative groups that meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the Program:

– a group must have clear idea of how to support the civilian population of the community;

– a group must have a clear understanding of how the initiative will be implemented and what resources are required.

A community initiative group is a group of community representatives formed to solve a specific problem or implement an initiative (project). A community initiative group should prepare an an application for participation in the Program, and in case of a positive decision on funding, it must implement the approved project and report on its implementation.

Unregistered initiative groups can participate in the Program together with a partner organization that is a registered legal entity and represents the interests of this group.

Applications submitted by individuals, commercial organizations, government agencies and organizations, local governments, trade unions, political parties, and religious organizations will not be considered.

We do not provide funding for:

– commercial projects aimed at making a profit;

– projects with a political agenda;

– remuneration of representatives of public initiative groups participating in the Program;

– activities/expenses incurred prior to receiving a charitable donation (crediting funds to the account of the initiative groups) or after the end of the initiative’s implementation period;

– administrative expenses and utility expenses of the initiative groups;

– payment of penalties (fines), administrative fines, compensation for damage (losses).

Community initiative groups selected for participation in the Program will receive invitations to an introductory meeting and training sessions by e-mail.
