On May 14, a group program “Mother’s Heart” for women dedicated to the international holiday was held in the capital. The main goal of the event was to support elderly women, most of whom are left alone because they were forced to separate from their children and grandchildren due to the war.

The meeting took place in a pleasant and warm atmosphere over a cup of tea. In small groups, those present shared memories of their mothers. ADRA Ukraine psychologists told how to deal with anxiety and fears that mothers so often feel, especially in conditions of war and separation from children.

During the event, music therapy methods were also used, and the meeting ended with warm hugs and pleasant emotions of the participants.

The psychological program took place within the framework of Lifesaving Evacuation, Assistance and Protection project with the support of the Canadian government.
