Discussed countering violence and burnout: ADRA Ukraine meeting with IRC employees
On April 25, in the city of Bila Tserkva, that located in Kyiv region, a meeting was held for employees of the inclusive-resource center (IRC) No. 2, which was held by ADRA Ukraine specialists.
Psychologist Anastasia Zinyk and lawyer and psychologist Sofia Melnychuk raised an important topic – gender-based violence. Speakers talked about its main forms, signs, methods of detection and methods of counteraction. Special attention was paid to the issue of professional and emotional burnout among specialists working with children with disabilities. This topic is extremely relevant, because specialists interact daily with vulnerable groups and often need psychological support.
