The emergency food assistance project supported by the UN World Food Program (WFP) is reaching new heights. Food kits, baby food and fresh bread are distributed to people in need in 12 regions of Ukraine. Only since the beginning of August, volunteers have distributed more than 70,000 food kits of various purposes.

In Chernihiv and Sumy regions, a new type of assistance has started – food certificates. People can buy food or non-food goods in the amount of UAH 1,500 in such stores as Silpo, Le Silpo, Fozzy, Fora, Thrash!Trash! Among the categories that receive certificates are large families, persons with disabilities, persons who independently support the family, people of retirement age and other categories.

Another ADRA Ukraine project has started to be implemented with the support of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, ADRA Spain, ADRA Australia and ADRA Denmark. This project is a health program for children of IDPs and local children of vulnerable categories that is held in two camps for kids in Zakarpattia region. Participants are provided with good conditions, professional teachers, health and entertainment program. At the moment, 220 children have already come to these camps. In total, it is planned to host 360 children in these camps.

Adults and children receive humanitarian aid from ADRA Ukraine with the support of UNICEF. Assistance is received by vulnerable categories of the population, among whom the overwhelming majority are families of IDPs and other vulnerable categories of the population. As of today, provision of the assistance has reached new heights: about 245,900 liters of drinking water have been delivered to hot spots in Ukraine, more than 11,780 people have received personal hygiene means; about 1,890 children have received kits of early development and educational and entertainment materials.
