How to reduce tension and restore internal balance was taught at group events
How to notice your own emotional state, cope with internal tension and find available ways of self-support? A series of online group events within the “JPF7” project was devoted to this.
During the meetings, the participants not only talked about emotional recovery, but also experienced various practices on themselves. Through creative tasks, working with attention, bodily sensations, thoughts and emotions, they learned to better recognize their own reactions and find ways to reduce tension.
Particular attention was paid to feelings and states that people often leave unspoken. When they accumulate, they can affect well-being, the ability to concentrate and everyday activity.
During the group activities, the professionals combined practical instruments of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy and separate EMDR stabilization techniques. Participants were able to supplement their own set of practices that can be consulted for psychological recovery and self-support.
The online format allowed to join the meeting from a comfortable place for each participant, and maintaining interaction with the group at the same time.
A series of group events took place within the framework of the “JPF7” project, which ADRA Ukraine implemented with the support of Japan Platform and ADRA Japan.
