Psychological and legal consultations for people throughout Ukraine and assistance with heating for 150 IDPs in Zaporizhzhia region — will combine such areas with the new ADRA Ukraine project, which started in September 2026 with the support of ADRA Japan.

One of the directions of the project is psychological and psychosocial support. Within seven months, specialists plan to conduct 560 individual consultations online and by phone, and if necessary, send people to specialized specialists to receive specialized assistance. 28 group meetings are also planned, where participants can get support and communicate with other people.

Another direction — legal assistance. 140 individual consultations are planned on issues faced by war-affected people: restoration of documents, rights to housing and property, and receipt of compensation and social benefits.

Special attention will be paid to specialists who work directly with people in communities. 11 training cycles will be held for 110 social workers, volunteers, educators and other local service providers. Participants will learn to provide first aid, work with issues of inclusion and preventing gender-based violence.

The second component of the project will help five private-type collective centres in the Zaporizhzhia region, where 150 IDPs live, to prepare for the cold period. They plan to purchase and deliver 30 tons of solid fuel for their heating. This will help provide shelter residents with warmth during the winter period.

The project «Strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable People and Communities through Integrated Protection and Winterization Support in Ukraine» is implemented by ADRA Ukraine with the support of ADRA Japan. It will last seven months — from September 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027.
