Residents of the geriatric boarding house in Zhytomyr region learned to express feelings together with the psychologist
On August 16, a training was held at the Zhytomyr Geriatric Boarding House (Ivanivka village) on the topic “Expressing Feelings by Art Therapy Methods” with the participation of ADRA Ukraine psychologist Julia Zalutska and facilitator Anna Khvelos. The training was joined by wards of the boarding house, as well as IDPs who now live here – four men and eight women. The project donors are Radiohjälpen and ADRA Sweden.
The participants of the training using the methods of art therapy released the energy trapped in negative feelings, released the pain, forgave themselves and others, talked through their feelings about the loss. 80-year-old Tamara Mykolaivna, who lost her relatives, shared a video review with thanks to the organizers and presenters of the event. She says: “This boarding school is so far away from you, but you come and help people here. May God give you strength! “.
