Residents of three settlements of the Kherson region received 451 food kits
On August 13, residents of Posad-Pokrovske, Kiselivka, and Chornobayivka in the Kherson region received 451 food kits from the UN World Food Programme (WFP). The aid was delivered by the ADRA Ukraine team with the support of ADRA Switzerland.
Most of the kits were given to the residents of Posad-Pokrovske — 260 people.
130 people received assistance in Chornobayivka, and 61 in Kiselivka.
Distribution had to be suspended several times due to air alarms. According to the orders of the local administration, the team resumed work only when the security situation allowed it.
For these communities, the threat remains a part of everyday life. Attacks with guided aerial bombs are recorded in Kiselivka and Chornobayivka, and Posad-Pokrovske suffers from drone attacks. Despite the difficult conditions, people continue to live in their settlements and need regular support.
Residents were also registered for the hybrid assistance format during the distribution. In addition to the food kit, each recipient will have the opportunity to receive cash support from the UN WFP of 900 hryvnias per household member.
ADRA Ukraine continues to support residents of Kherson region communities and provide access to humanitarian aid in a difficult security situation.
