Assistance in Kharkiv region, a new social route in Zaporizhzhia, psychological support for residents of Bucha — results of ADRA Ukraine activities during the week
More than 1,200 people in Kharkiv region have received assistance due to the micro-grant project from ADRA Ukraine for the regional youth public organization “Kharkivskyi tsentr volonteriv”. The regional headquarters of the center have provided necessary assistance to people of crisis social categories in the form of food, medicine, household goods, etc. In addition to Kharkiv, the organization worked in several communities of the region.

People are being evacuated from hot spots of the country, in particular from Donetsk and Luhansk regions. To date, 4,689 people have been evacuated, the project is ongoing. Within the framework of the project on humanitarian transportation, with the support of Ukraine Humanitarian Fund, another social route has been opened in the Stepnenska community in Zaporizhzhia. As of June 24, 2022, ADRA Ukraine provides uninterrupted service for 27 social routes in six communities of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions. Since February 2022, more than 6,000 people have received assistance within the framework of the project.

Food assistance project of ADRA Ukraine with the support of the UN World Food Program (WFP) has been implemented this week in the following directions:
— bread: 480,700 loaves of bread have been distributed in Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia regions;
— food kits: Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Donetsk regions — 11,824 kits have been distributed.
The distribution of essential food kits and baby food boxes is also ongoing.

ADRA Ukraine psychologists have started a new cycle of meetings for Bucha residents who have lost their loved ones and survived the occupation. The topic of the first meeting was how to deal with emotions during the war. 40 people have taken part in the event. Psychologists have provided practices and techniques for stabilizing the emotional state that everyone will be able to use these techniques independently in the future.
