In the Lviv region, the teachers of the Lyceum «Living Word» were restored together with ADRA Ukraine
On June 22–24 in the village of Honchary, a retreat for teachers of the private lyceum «Living Word» (the city of Lviv). The goal of the — event is to help teachers find internal resources for recovery during the summer holidays. The event is organized within the «Restore with love – Phase III» project with the support of Schulzentrum Marienhoehe and ADRA Germany.
The meeting took place outside the city — in a calm natural environment, which allowed the participants to abstract from the daily hustle and bustle after an intense school year.
During the retreat, psychologist Kateryna Zynchak, a representative of the “PSS Schools” project, which is implemented with the support of ADRA Australia, conducted group practices aimed at developing emotional stability, self-reflection and internal resources of the participants. Art therapy exercises — drawing, creating a letter for yourself, therapeutic stories — helped to work through anxiety and inner experiences. Participants in the groups created joint drawings of their happy, bright future. Therapeutic stories contributed to emotional recovery, strengthening the bond with the collective, and a sense of significance within the community. There was also a «Circle of Trust» — space where everyone could express themselves, be heard or be in silence. Individual conversations were held for anyone willing.
According to the participants, the retreat became a real source of inspiration and refreshing of internal resources. It was not only a rest, but also an opportunity to gain strength and adjust to the new academic year.
