Psychologists of ADRA Ukraine taught children in Zhytomyr region to overcome stress and be confident
Within the framework of the project, with the support of ADRA Denmark, a series of events began in educational institutions of the Zhytomyr region. During the first week of work, ADRA Ukraine psychologists covered two educational institutions, where 1,129 children and 186 adults received support from them. There was held 60 individual consultations and two group events for parents.
The project is aimed at mastering the skills of providing psychological first aid, identifying and managing states of anxiety and fear. Psychologists helped children living in cities suffering from shelling to develop strategies to overcome stress, improve emotional state and increase self-confidence.
The results of such events, according to the organizers, will be impressive. Children will be able to overcome the difficulties of everyday life more effectively, learn to recognize and control their emotions. They will become more resilient and ready to support themselves and others in difficult moments. Parents will receive the necessary knowledge to help their children overcome anxiety and fears.
