Water towers will be installed in eight communities in the Mykolaiv region
On May 11–12, memorandums of cooperation were signed between ADRA Ukraine, local authorities and water utilities within the framework of the implementation of one of the components of the LDS WASH 2026 project — procurement and installation of water towers in the communities of the Mykolaiv region.
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to install eight water towers in the communities of the region. Some of the facilities will be implemented in a co-financing format: communities will ensure the purchase of towers, but installation will be carried out by the ADRA Ukraine team with the support of the donor of the project the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In the co-financing format, it is planned to install water towers in the following communities:
• Stepove community —Novohrihorivka and Shirokolanivka villages;
• Kostiantynivka community — Novopetrivske village;
• Bashtanka community — Novooleksandrivka village;
• Yelanets community — Novoaleksandrivka village.
Within the component of full procurement and installation of water towers, the works will be implemented in:
• Berezanka community — Vasylivka village;
• Sofiivka community — Pelahiivka village;
• Novyi Buh community — Stantsiine village;
• Pervomaisk city — Pervomaisk Central City Multidisciplinary Hospital (treatment complex № 2, department of nephrology and hemodialysis).
The implementation of the project is aimed at improving the population’s access to stable water supply and strengthening water infrastructure in communities that need support.
