Another educational institution in Dnipropetrovsk region received stable access to water
ADRA Ukraine installed a borehole in the Babaikivka Lyceum of the Tsarychanka community in the Dnipro district. This is an important step towards improving sanitary and hygienic conditions, meeting basic needs and improving the quality of life of children and young people.
«From now on, the lyceum has uninterrupted access to water and does not depend on power outages», — according to the employees of the educational institution.
Work on the arrangement of the borehole was carried out within the framework of the WMTW Ukraine project, which is implemented with the support of Aktion Deutschland Hilft, ADRA Czech Republic and ADRA Germany.
192 students study at the Babaikivka Lyceum, and the educational process is provided by 37 teachers. Among the pupils are children of vulnerable categories who need special attention and support. In addition, some students and workers are picked up daily by school buses from ten surrounding villages.
In the near future, within the framework of the WMTW Ukraine project, ADRA Ukraine will also install a modern water purification system at the lyceum. It will remove dangerous impurities, pesticides and heavy metals, providing safe water for drinking.
A comprehensive approach to water supply will contribute to the creation of safer and more comfortable conditions for studying, working and daily stay in an educational institution.
