In Chernihiv, the children were congratulated on the start of the holidays with a creative master class from ADRA Ukraine
On June 2, Chernihiv hosted the annual event «Chernihiv — territory of joy», dedicated to the beginning of the summer vacation. Representatives of ADRA Ukraine, psychologist Yuliia Bohush and facilitator Vladyslava Voilo, joined the festive program, who together with their children held a creative master-class.
During the event, the little participants created a bright snail in the quilling technique, art of twisting paper strips into decorative compositions. Such activity has become for children not only an interesting creative activity, but also a way of emotional relief and self-expression.
Quilling is considered an effective tool for art therapy and development. Working with thin strips of paper helps to harmonize the emotional state and calm the nervous system, while training cognitive functions, fine motor skills, coordination, attention and concentration.
Children were especially happy to be able to independently choose the colors and design of their works, which contributed to the development of imagination, creativity and creative thinking.
The event was organized by the Chernihiv Department of Family, Youth and Sports Affairs. The participation of ADRA Ukraine specialists took place within the framework of the “MHWP” project with the support of the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada.
