Residents of Mykolaiv region receive food kits from the UN World Food Programme
In the Stepivska community of Mykolaiv region, continues the distribution of food kits from the UN World Food Programme with the support of ADRA Switzerland. Thus, on July 4, residents of the villages of Krinichki, Novogrigorivka and Novoselivka received humanitarian assistance. ADRA Ukraine volunteers in July plan to distribute 3,933 food kits in 16 villages of the community – like they distributed last month. In addition, registration for the UN WFP’s Transitional Cash Program has begun, thus in August, the community residents will receive cash assistance in the amount of UAH 1,500 monthly instead of food kits.
The Transitional Cash Program is created for vulnerable categories of the population: households, which include a person with a disability; households that consist of one person of venerable age (60 +); a person with the status of a single parent/mother; a person who has lost his job; low-income and large families.
