The charity organization ADRA Ukraine in the city of Chernivtsi organized the issuance of certificates for “ATB” stores with a denomination of UAH 500. During the week, representatives of vulnerable categories of the population and internally displaced persons received assistance. A total of 400 certificates were issued in the premises of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
A separate issuance also took place in the shelter «Misto Dobra» (EN: City of Goodness) — center for children and women who find themselves in difficult life circumstances. About 100 more certificates were distributed here.
The donor of the project is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The initiative started in June, and by the end of August alone, about 15,000 certificates had already been handed over throughout Ukraine. Approximately 6.5 thousand certificates are provided each month.
