In Mykolaiv region, 10 public initiatives will receive grant support for development of communities
New children’s and sports spaces, modernization of water supply systems, inclusive solutions, development of an agricultural cooperative and arrangement of shelter for lyceum are exactly such initiatives implemented by the winners of the grant program «Community Initiative Support» in the Mykolaiv region.
The program is implemented by ADRA Ukraine in partnership with ADRA Denmark with the support of DanChurchAid and Norwegian Church Aid in Ukraine and funding from Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA). Its goal is to support local initiatives that contribute to the recovery of communities, their development and overcoming the consequences of war.
NGOs, initiative groups and local communities were invited to participate in the programme and offered their own ideas to improve life in their communities.
The program covers five communities of the Mykolaiv region:
· Arbuzynka community;
· Bashtanka community;
· Berezneguvate community;
· Horokhivske community;
· Pervomaiske city community.
According to the results of the competitive selection, 10 projects received grant support.
NGO «Democratic initiatives of Arbuzynka district»
· Replacement of pumping equipment of the “BIOTAL 300BT” biological wastewater treatment plant.
NGO «EkoVira.UA» (EN: EkoFaith Ukraine)
· «Available space of care» — repair and inclusive arrangement of the sanitary room in the social adaptation department of the territorial center.
NGO «The era of the revival of Ukraine»
· Development of an active agricultural cooperative «Yavkynskyi prolisok» through the purchase of a mini excavator to provide affordable services to the villagers.
NGO «Ye UA za Novoukrainka»
· «Healthy leisure area» — reconstruction and arrangement of a children’s playground for active, safe and healthy leisure for children and community residents.
NGO «Community pulse»
· «Space of possibilities» — creation of a modern resource space on the basis of a lyceum.
NGO «SAD» (EN: Garden)
· Ensuring energy-independent water supply of the front-line community by installing a solar power plant to power the Rozhnovskyi water tower.
NGO «Center for the Development of Local Democracy “Holos hromady”» (EN: Voice of the Community)
· «Quality nutrition — the basis of a successful educational process» — current repair and equipping of the food block with modern equipment and furniture.
International CF «Vashe misto» (EN: Your city)
· «SafeSpace: training without borders» — shelter arrangement on the basis of Lyceum of the Dobre village.
NGO «Razom my sylni» (EN: Together we are strong)
· «Point of power: place of unity» — creation of a sports hub.
NGO «Svit mriy 2025» (EN: World of Dreams 2025)
· «The sun for the water». Installation of a solar power plant to power the well and pump station.
