One year has already passed since the start of the project “Provision of emergency food assistance to the affected population of Ukraine” with the support of ADRA Ukraine and the UN World Food Programme.

This large-scale project has covered 13 regions of Ukraine: Chernihiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Poltava regions. In 2023, we will continue our active activities in five regions: Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv. Food assistance is vital in these regions because people often had nothing to eat and didn’t see fresh bread for months.

In addition to food kits, people in need also receive bread, baby food and food certificates.

During the project, ADRA Ukraine and WFP have provided assistance in the form of:
– 954,005 units of essential rations;
– supplemented kits of general purpose — 1,967,102 pcs.;
– baby food kits — 322,234 pcs.;
– bread — 20,151,880 pcs.;
– food certificates — 570,089 pcs.

We sincerely thank our partners, volunteer organizations throughout Ukraine who contribute to the organization of provision of assistance, often risking their own lives. Despite the danger, we carry out this difficult but important mission – to give food to those who need it.

ADRA Ukraine team appreciates the cooperation with the UN World Food Programme and ADRA Switzerland. We are grateful for the joint work that inspires us not to stop when there are difficulties and to continue to support people in difficult times.
