ADRA Ukraine brings psychological care closer to schools in remote communities
Charitable organization ADRA Ukraine provides psychological assistance in the most remote corners of Ukraine. The experts of the “PSS Schools” project, implemented with the support ADRA Australia, carry out mobile visits to rural schools in order to provide children, parents and teachers with access to quality psychological support.
Recently, such an exit session took place in the Skrebyshivskyi gymnasium – an elementary school (Kyiv region). Psychologist Maria Gorodova conducted two trainings: for students – “Aggressiveness, conflict and how it affects relationships and personality formation,” and for teachers – “Prevention of emotional burnout.”
The project specialists are convinced that psychological assistance should not be a privilege – it should be available to everyone, regardless of place of residence. That is why such visits contribute to the creation of a safe psychological environment necessary for learning, development and friendly interaction.
As part of the “PSS Schools” project, the ADRA Ukraine team provides comprehensive support for the educational process:
– provides individual psychological assistance;
– conducts career guidance trainings for adolescents;
– helps to overcome educational losses;
– provides students with individual training sets.
