ADRA Ukraine psychologists with the support of the Canadian government have conducted trainings for children dedicated to combating violence
As part of Lifesaving Evacuation, Assistance and Protection (LEAP) project, trainings for children were held in such cities as Kyiv, Irpen, Bucha and Dnipro for the international action “16 days against violence”. The purpose of these events is to form a rejection of violence, popularize services that support victims of domestic violence. Juvenile police also took part in the events.
In addition, ADRA Ukraine psychologists conducted training for teenagers in Dnipro on the topic of countering human trafficking as modern slavery. In this way, specialists raised the level of awareness of teenagers, examined the essence of the phenomenon of human trafficking, found out the causes and various forms of this crime, as well as dangerous stereotypes regarding this issue.
In addition to psychological support, LEAP project is aimed at providing transportation assistance, in particular provision of social transportation and evacuation (including people with reduced mobility), and also provides other types of support for people in need.
