ADRA Ukraine supports schoolchildren in choosing a profession
On April 24, in the city of Lviv, in the private lyceum “Zhyve Slovo” (EN: Living Word), a career guidance event for high school students was held. The group meeting was held by ADRA Ukraine specialist – career guidance consultant Iryna Vereshchaka. The meeting was organized as part of the “PSS Schools-2” project, implemented with the support of ADRA Australia in five regions of Ukraine. One of the goals of the project is to support schoolchildren in difficult conditions of war, providing psychosocial professional self-determination assistance.
During the event, high school students, future graduates and applicants passed individual testing on career guidance, and also received a specialist consultation that will help explain the results. In the future, a second meeting is provided, as well as the possibility of involving parents in consultations. This approach contributes to a better understanding of future professional steps in difficult wartime.
If necessary, students can also seek support from ADRA Ukraine psychologist Kateryna Zynchak, who will continue to work with children within the project.
