Advisor to the Head of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration visited the Center for Protection and Support of ADRA Ukraine
On December 11, Iryna Gladka, adviser to the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration on humanitarian issues and mental health, founder of the public organization “Myr na Doloni” (EN: Peace in the Palm), visited the ADRA Ukraine Protection and Support Center in Zhytomyr. During the visit, she met with psychologist Yulia Zalutska, who provides psychological assistance within the “Radiohjälpen” project, implemented by the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine and the facilitator of the center Anna Khvelos. Yulia and Iryna discussed the possibilities of further cooperation aimed at maintaining the psychological health of residents of the city and the region.
The ADRA Ukraine Protection and Support Center not only provides humanitarian assistance, but also offers a wide range of services for citizens.
Residents also can:
• charge mobile devices;
• use photocopying of documents;
• warm up with warm tea;
• spend time in comfortable conditions (from 1 to 6 hours).
Special attention deserves the “room of mother and child,” where people can change clothes or feed the baby in a cozy space. There also some interesting activities are organized for children, in particular, watching educational films.
This visit emphasizes the importance of joint efforts to improve the quality of life of citizens and emphasizes the need for psychological support in difficult times.
