At a psychological seminar for IDPs in Vinnytsia, participants have been helped to understand and manage emotions
On October 9, Vinnytsia hosted a seminar-workshop for IDPs from different regions of Ukraine that took place within the framework of the psychological direction of LEAP project. More than 40 people attended the event. They discussed today’s relevant issues: “How to achieve a resource state in the conditions of war” and “Where to find strength for personal life and how to help others.”
The seminar was conducted by Olena Nynyk, a qualified Psychologist of the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine. She not only shared useful information, but also used art therapy practices, transformational games, etc. Those present got to know each other better, felt support and care for themselves, and shared their own thoughts and experiences during this difficult time.
“I was pleasantly surprised by openness and trust of guests. They shared personal feelings, impressions and life situations. I felt the desire of many to understand their own emotions caused by the war. To become morally strong and stable in order to help others, – says Olena Nynyk, a Psychologist, who was at the meeting. – I heard a lot of words of gratitude towards the charitable fund ADRA Ukraine because everyone present had previously received various types of assistance from the organization. I hope for the continuation of such meetings.”
One of the participants, Liubov Nechai, a resident of Nova Kakhovka, shared her impressions of the seminar. “I could never think that after what I experienced, I would be able to laugh and joke again. I will definitely use all the provided techniques and advice from a specialist,” – says the woman.
