Chernihiv Center of ADRA Ukraine received thanks for supporting young people
On August 12, in Chernihiv, during the Youth Day events, the team of the Center for Protection and Support of ADRA Ukraine was honored with the Thanks of the Department of Family, Youth and Sports Affairs of the Chernihiv City Council.
The award was awarded for active participation in the implementation of youth projects, development and support of the young generation in the region and the city.
The center provides assistance to the population within the framework of the MHWP project with the support of the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada.
Among the services of the Chernihiv Center for Protection and Support:
– psychological support — individual and group consultations with professional psychologists to overcome stress, anxiety and emotional trauma;
– a safe space for communication, restoring internal balance and supporting children and adults;
– mother and child room where they can change clothes and feed the baby;
– informational support;
– access to free Internet;
– ability to warm up and charge gadgets.
Particular attention is paid at the Center to work with young people, because the support of the younger generation in the front-line city is of particular importance. As the Center’s employees note:
«Such — initiatives are not only an opportunity to help young people today, but also an investment in the future of the community. We continue to develop the program, expand its capabilities and reach even more young people so that they have the support, resources and inspiration for their growth».
