Children in Chernihiv city learned to understand emotions with the ADRA Ukraine psychologist
On March 13, a training session for children 7-10 years old was held at the children’s and teenage club named “Bereginya” (EN: Guardianess) in Chernihiv city. ADRA Ukraine psychologist Julia Bogush and facilitator Vladislava Voilo conducted classes on the topic named “My emotions”. The purpose of the training was not only to introduce children to various emotions, but also to help them realize that all emotions are important – both pleasant and unpleasant. The event, which was attended by 12 children, was held within the “MHWP” project with the support of the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada.
During the training, children also learned to distinguish the emotional state of other people. They performed exercises and guessed different emotions. One of the exercises was to draw an emotion and tell what it is and where it lives in the body. Children were in a positive mood, showed interest, and consciously perceived useful information.
