Children treated and studying at the “School of Superheroes” received support from ADRA Ukraine and partners
In 10 educational centers of the state institution “School of Superheroes” in the cities of Kyiv, Dnipro, Poltava, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky and Kharkiv, a special network event was held that united young superheroes – children who, despite illness and stay in hospitals, continue their studies. Gifts from ADRA Japan became an important element of this action. Also, within the framework of the main event, was held the “Svit emotsiy” (EN: World of Emotions) event, during which children learned more about their emotions that arise in stressful situations, in particular during air anxiety and treatment. The event was attended by ADRA Ukraine specialists – psychologists, facilitators, lawyers involved in several projects.
Among the gifts that children received from ADRA Japan: thermoses – necessary to preserve heat on cold days, which is especially important in difficult conditions of war; lunch boxes that will help you conveniently store and take home-made dishes “to go”, providing comfort even in the most difficult moments; office – notebooks, pens, pencils and other necessary things that motivate children to learn, even when circumstances force them to be far from their native school. These gifts have become a real support for children, reminding them that they are cared for and supported around the world.
The event “Svit emotsiy” which took place within the framework of the main event, was joined by: psychologists of the project “JPF4” (Japan Platform) with the support of ADRA Japan; psychologists and facilitators of Radiohjälpen project with the support of ADRA Sweden; psychologists and lawyers of the “WMT Ukraine” project with the support of ADRA Germany.
According to the experts who took part in the events, this day for children was not just an event, but a real celebration of unity, creativity and sincere smiles. “Each of our superheroes felt important and special, and we again saw how important it is to give children not only knowledge, but also the warmth of our hearts,” say representatives of the ADRA Ukraine team.
