On December 22, a monthly educational and leadership project “Dity Heroyiv” (EN: “Children of Heroes”) was held in three cities of Ukraine – Bucha and Irpin of the Kyiv region, as well as Dubno of the Rivne region. The event was organized by the charitable foundation of the “CLAN” sports club in cooperation with ADRA Ukraine, with which a Memorandum of Cooperation was previously signed.

The project aims to support children whose parents died, were disabled or are in captivity because of the war. Its task is to give children the opportunity to realize their potential, provide them with access to quality education and create conditions for higher education.

The event, which simultaneously gathered about 100 children, used a variety of interactive techniques. In Bucha, the project took place on the basis of the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science, and in Irpin and Dubno – on the basis of the Seventh-day Adventist churches.

The program contained thematic stations that contributed to the development of entrepreneurial thinking, immersion in musical art therapy and the improvement of English language knowledge. Participants worked in teams, performing creative tasks under the guidance of mentors-psychologists. Volunteers, including students and athletes, helped children overcome challenges and open new horizons.

The Children of Heroes project is an example of an important initiative that not only supports children in difficult times, but also helps them build a confident future.
