Four generators from Slovakia are already operating in Odesa: support for critical infrastructure continues
In February, ADRA Slovakia, together with partners through the mediation of ADRA Ukraine, delivered seven powerful generators and two charging stations from Slovakia to the city of Odesa within the framework of the project named «Warmth for Ukraine» (Slovak: Teplo pre Ukrajinu). As of early April, four of the seven generators had already undergone all the necessary legal and technical procedures. The equipment is installed and connected at the facilities most in need of a stable energy supply.
Generators received:
• 250 kW — the residential complex «Chudo-misto» (EN: Miracle town)
• 100 kW — kindergarten №80
• 63 kW — orphanage «Perlinka» (EN: Little pearl)
• 50 kW — kindergarten №195
As previously reported, the process of transferring and installing equipment takes time due to the need to go through all legal and technical stages.
The most powerful generator of this batch is KWDS-0250-BL-SP-3 (250 kW), after separate decisions made at extraordinary meetings of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, was transferred to the residential complex «Chudo-misto». The utility company prepared the necessary package of documents, after which the equipment was installed, connected to the power system and final tests were conducted. Currently, the generator provides electricity to the residents of the complex.
Three more generators out of seven delivered to the city are currently undergoing the necessary procedures and will be installed at designated locations later.
The campaign «Warmth for Ukraine» became possible thanks to the solidarity of the citizens of the Slovak Republic and the joint work of partner organizations: ADRA Slovakia, Donio, Človek v ohrození, Mier Ukraine, Nadácia Integra, PostBellum SK, Nadácia Pontis, Ambrela, All4Ukraine, Nadácia otvorenej spoločnosti, Srdcom s Ukrajinou.
