In Dnipro, ADRA Ukraine joined measures against gender-based violence
Representative of ADRA Ukraine, project manager of the UN WFP Maryna Potekha took part in the opening of the meeting «Break the silence» in the city of Dnipro, dedicated to prevent gender-based and domestic violence. The meeting is part of a wider information campaign designed to draw society’s attention to this problem.
During the event, Maryna Potekha spoke with representatives of other organizations working in the field of assistance to victims of gender-based violence, and discussed the possibilities of further cooperation in providing support to people in need.
The installations in the event reflect real situations that people can face personally or be their witnesses. Information stands contain up-to-date data, hotline contacts and a list of support services for victims.
The meeting will last until March 19 in the shopping center «Most City» (Dnipro city). It is implemented within the framework of the project «Strengthening the resilience and well-being of women and girls affected by the war in Ukraine», which is implemented by the «Girls» NGO and the «Posmishka UA» CF in cooperation with “Plan International” with the financial support of “the Crisis Response and Support Center of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France”.
