In Khmelnitsky city, classes on inclusion and mutual assistance were held for the lyceum students
On March 20, a class for fourth-grade students was held at Lyceum No. 6 in Khmelnitsky city, dedicated to familiarizing them with the concept of “children with special educational needs.” The event was organized by ADRA Ukraine with the support of the Swedish charitable organization Radiohjälpen and ADRA Sweden. During the lesson, students learned who children with special educational needs are, what difficulties they can have in their studies and everyday life, and what conditions need to be created so that they can fully receive an education.
In an accessible and interactive form, facilitator Yulia Bufetchikova explained to children the importance of tolerance, mutual assistance and inclusion in the school environment. They discussed how to support classmates with additional needs, help them adapt and feel comfortable. The event contributed to the formation in children of empathy, understanding and responsible attitude to diversity among peers.
