In Kryvyi Rih, ADRA Ukraine offered free-of-charge legal consultations to citizens affected by the war
On June 14th, Yevhen Strashko, our qualified lawyer, conducted a number of on-site consultation in Kryvyi Rih for beneficiaries and persons affected by the hostilities. Nine individuals received qualified legal aid regarding 18 different cases. Free-of-charge legal aid was provided as part of the project supported by the German Federal Foreign Office and ADRA Germany.
Kryvyi Rih residents received legal aid related to such matters as compensations payable to civilians illegally detained and held captive when the city of Kherson was not controlled by the Ukrainian government; destroyed residential property compensations; unilateral termination of employment contracts by IDPs; adjustment of benefits payable to families with many children; procedure for applying to the cash assistance by the UN, et cetera.
