In Poltava, teenagers explored their values with the psychologist at ADRA Ukraine
On May 21, at the ADRA Ukraine Protection and Support Center in the city of Poltava, a psychological training for teenagers was held on understanding the relationship between behavior and values. The event was held as part of the “SMHUF” project with the support of ADRA Sweden and the Radiohjälpen charity organization.
Together with psychologist Natalia Stepanenko and facilitator Inna Borysenko, the participants studied how personal values are formed, why they are unique for each person, and how behavior can both reflect and contradict these values. Particular attention was paid to the question of how excessive dominance of behavioral models can change the internal orientations of personality.
Teenagers analyzed their own leading values and considered them in the context of their motives. In addition, participants mastered bodily practices that help to reconnect with their own bodies and improve interaction with the outside world.
