In Zhytomyr, ADRA Ukraine psychologist held a support group for people struggling with addictions
The leaders of the International Anti-Drug Association of the Zhytomyr region got acquainted with the activities of the charitable organization ADRA Ukraine and began cooperation with it. On November 14, in one of the rehabilitation centers in Zhytomyr, ADRA Ukraine psychologist Julia Zalutskaya conducted a support group, which was attended by 27 participants, including veterans.
The psychologist applied the methods of art therapy. The participants learned something new about themselves that was hidden in their subconscious, and praised the meeting.
Such support groups have an important role in the rehabilitation process of people struggling with addictions. The main goal of this group is to help people stay firm by providing support, information and an environment where they can share their problems and achievements without fear of judgment.
