Participants of psychological training in Zhytomyr region fought with emotional burnout, creating a doll “Guardian of the Soul”
In Krasnopil village, Zhytomyr region, on July 29, a training was held for employees of the social protection center on the topic: “Prevention of emotional burnout by art therapy methods” with the participation of ADRA Ukraine psychologist Julia Zalutska. The event was attended by 14 women and 2 men. They learned what are the stages of emotional burnout, considered ways to help with this condition, considered strategies to reduce stress. The project donors are Radiohjälpen and ADRA Sweden.
During the training, the participants, together with the psychologist, created the doll “Guardian of the Soul” in art therapeutic technique (author – Inna Ivzhenko) and explored their internal state through the doll; structured it, strengthened the “I-image” and their internal supports.
“The doll is created fit your body, fit you individually. To measure the size of a piece of fabric, you need to put your palm on it from the thumb to the end of the palm. Make cuts on the fabric. And on a thread, on a fabric not to cut scissors, and simply to pull out… The image of the doll is about you. Thanks to the tactile sensations of the tissue through the fingers, the body relaxes” says Julia Zalutska.
