Last week, representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visited ADRA Ukraine’s office in Kramatorsk. Together with colleagues, we visited the villages of Umanske, Krasnohorivka and Marinka, where ADRA Ukraine implemented projects with the financial support of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In the village of Umanske, we met Olga Mykolayivna *, a retired teacher of Ukrainian language and literature. In winter, the woman received coal under the project “Preparation for winter in Eastern Ukraine.”

“As coal was given, the house became warm. And before that the temperature in the rooms was around 0. It is expensive to buy fuel, so we went to forest to collect wood, in 15 minutes it burns out and all, it is gone. Coal burns for a long time. I’m thrifty, so I still have a little left. It’s good to live when you’re warm,” shared with us Olga Mykolayivna*.
