Residents of Kherson have received emergency food assistance from ADRA Ukraine
Kherson. The first emergency distribution of humanitarian kits with the support of the UN World Food Program was made in the city that has been under occupation for a long time.
Thanks to the prompt response of ADRA Ukraine organization, 5 tons of food assistance have been distributed.
It contained 320 kits weighing 11.9 kg, consisting of basic food products, including canned goods, cereals, pasta, oil and others. And it also contained 1,080 pieces of baby food weighing 2 kg, 50 bottles of water and 320 boxes of cookies.
During almost nine months, Kherson was on the verge of a humanitarian disaster due to the lack of important life support infrastructure. Therefore, food assistance is vital for its residents. People met happily those who brought the humanitarian cargo and thanked them for not leaving them in trouble.
In total, around 30 de-occupied settlements of Kherson region have already received assistance, including such villages as Novomykolaivka, Dudchany, Arkhangelske and others.
