Residents of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, have received humanitarian aid and gifts from ADRA Ukraine
With the support of the UN World Food Program (WFP UN), on December 21, distribution of food kits and gifts for children took place in Kramatorsk. The distribution point was visited by Matthew Hollingworth and Salim Moussa, heads of the WFP program in Ukraine and in Dnipro, Oleksandr Honcharenko, the mayor of Kramatorsk, and Artem Dikhtiaruk, the vice-president of ADRA Ukraine, who personally talked with the residents of the city about the most pressing issues.
During that day, beneficiaries received 963 food kits and 963 gifts.
Kramatorsk suffered significant destruction and losses as a result of hostilities, therefore the assistance provided is extremely important for its residents.
As of today, thanks to the support of WFP in Donetsk region, the following assistance has been provided:
• 373,700 loaves of fresh bread, and for the entire duration of the project in all regions of the country – 14,988,459.
• 182,070 kits of general purpose in Donetsk region and 1,789,296 kits throughout the country.
• 20,504 kits of baby food in Donetsk region and 179,233 kits throughout the country.
In total, the project has covered 13 regions of Ukraine, including Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kherson.
