Residents of the Sviatohirska community received food kits from the UN WFP
On March 22, the ADRA Ukraine team delivered food kits from the UN World Food Programme to the Sviatohirska community of the Donetsk region with the support of ADRA Switzerland. Employees managed to visit such villages as Adamivka, Mykilske, Khrestyshche and Hlyboka Makatykha, where there is still access. Given the security situation, aid was distributed very quickly.
Residents received:
• Khrestyshche — 291 food kits;
• Mykilske — 52 food kits;
• Adamivka — 39 food kits;
• Hlyboka Makatykha — 16 food kits.
The Sviatohirska community is located on a dangerous area near the front-line. Some villages of the community can only be reached with the help of armored vehicles and the Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems. At present, local people are in a very difficult situation and need any humanitarian assistance. Every month, ADRA Ukraine provides community residents with food kits and fresh bread from the UN WFP.
