The Swiss Mine Action Fund (FSD) conducted training for employees of ADRA Ukraine
At the ADRA Ukraine office in the city of Kriviy Rih, a mine safety training was held for a team of workers and volunteers providing humanitarian assistance in the Kherson region. The event, which was held by representatives of The Swiss Mine Action Fund (FSD), took place on April 4 – the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action.
Ten participants from the ADRA Ukraine team received knowledge about the rules of conduct in potentially mined territories, learned to recognize mines and other explosive objects, as well as pay attention to warning signs.
Because a significant part of the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region remains mined, the issue of mine safety is especially relevant for the ADRA Ukraine team, which works daily on the ground and helps the local population.
