The victim of missile attack at the Kherson school received financial assistance from ADRA Ukraine
The charitable organization provided financial assistance in the amount of 20,000 UAH to Oleksandr Surovenny, who was injured during a missile attack on a school in the city of Kherson.
Oleksandr — is a native of the city of Skadovsk. In 2022, after the occupation of his hometown, he was forced to leave and received the status of an internally displaced person. After settling in Kherson, he actively participated in volunteer activities: he helped others, and during the last year he worked as a security guard at a local school.
On the night of October 20-21 this year, when Oleksandr was on duty, the school was attacked — and was hit by four missiles named “shahed”. As a result of the explosion, the man was injured and suffered a serious arm fracture, due to which he underwent several operations and is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
After the event, Oleksandr turned to ADRA Ukraine, because he knew about the organization’s activities from volunteer work. Thanks to the contributions of Ukrainians who support ADRA projects through the platform for donors, he received the necessary help.
Thank you to everyone who joins in supporting people affected by the war.
