UN World Food Programme Country Director in Ukraine Matthew Hollingworth visited ADRA Ukraine’s humanitarian aid points in Zaporizhzhia
Matthew Hollingworth and his collegues made a visit on September 21. Honorable guests visited IDP registration points as part of the Transitional Cash Assistance programme initiated by the UN WFP.
This programme is intended to support IDPs living in the city with the cash assistance instead of food kits. The registration is conducted by ADRA Ukraine’s representatives and is open until September 27th. As of today, around 4 thousand people have already registered for the Transitional Cash Assistance in Zaporizhzhia.
The purpose of the UN WFP representatives’ visit to Ukraine was to monitor the situation with the IDP support. Matthew Hollingworth had a chance to talk to beneficiaries regarding the relevance of financial or food assistance, ask questions regarding existing needs and people’s lives amidst the war, the number of individuals affected by the hostilities in the city.
He expressed sincere hope for further fruitful cooperation with ADRA Ukraine for the sake of supporting Ukrainians affected by war.
