«Vilni razom» and ADRA Ukraine provided comprehensive assistance to the residents of Pokrov
This week, the Coordination Center for Humanitarian Aid to Kherson People in the city of Dnipro «Vilni razom» (EN: Free together) visited the city of Pokrov, Dnipropetrovsk region, for the second time as part of the field delivery of humanitarian aid together with ADRA Ukraine — specialists by the Dnipro team of the WMTW Ukraine project. This project is implemented with the support of Aktion Deutschland Hilft (Germany) and ADRA Czech Republic.
The Department of Social Protection of the Pokrovsk City Council provided premises and assistance in organizing the meeting. During the event, 98 families received food kits from Global Empowerment Mission in partnership with Howard G. Buffett Foundation, new clothes and goods for babies from CF «HumAid», medicines from CF «Medicine of Kherson region», as well as cards «Vilni razom. Kherson region».
ADRA Ukraine specialists provided legal and psychological consultations, and for children and adults they conducted a psychological class with elements of art therapy, in particular weaving. Through these creative practices and artistic techniques, participants delved into their own emotions and thoughts. These tools helped express important aspects of the inner world, contributed to the concentration of attention, allowing you to focus on the moment «here and now». The goal of such art therapy was to achieve inner peace, reduce stress levels, and ensure harmony between body and mind.
