ADRA Slovakia and its partners, through the assistance of ADRA Ukraine, transferred to Kyiv 16 generators of various capacities and 2 kits of charging stations of 8 kW with a total cost of 166,000 euros.  Mayor of the city Vitaliy Klitschko expressed the gratitude for the humanitarian aid. He also announced that the three most powerful generators (225 kW, 100 kW and 63 kW) will be handed over to schools in different areas of the capital.

The generators were purchased with funds raised in Slovakia thanks to a large-scale fundraising campaign «Warmth for Ukraine» (Slovak: Teplo pre Ukrajinu). This campaign was launched in the second half of January at the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the largest Slovak fundraising platform “Donio” and 10 leading non-governmental organizations of Slovakia.

The amount of funds raised is currently €1,100,000 from over 19,500 donors. Slovak partners purchase and bring generators and charging stations to the cities of Ukraine.

The campaign «Warmth for Ukraine» became possible thanks to the solidarity of the citizens of the Slovak Republic and the joint work of partner organizations: ADRA Slovakia, Donio, Človek v ohrození, Mier Ukraine, Nadácia Integra, PostBellum SK, Nadácia Pontis, Ambrela, All4Ukraine, Nadácia otvorenej spoločnosti, Srdcom s Ukrajinou.
