In Kryvyi Rih, the psychologist talked with young people about apathy and stress resistance
In the youth club of the charitable organization “Hesed Khan” in Kryvyi Rih, ADRA Ukraine specialists held a psychological event. Psychologist Oleg Yaroshenko and facilitator Daria Kravets talked with young people on important topics – apathy and stress resistance. The meeting was held within the “MHWP” project with the support of the Government of Canada and ADRA Canada.
Participants actively participated in the discussion: they asked questions, shared their own experiences and sought answers to what was bothering them. During the dialogue, key thoughts were voiced:
– Dependence distorts the perception of reality, makes it impossible to physically solve the problem and makes a person change his own attitude towards it.
– Self-control can be maintained through talismans, conscious stopping of emotional reactions, as well as practices of “grounding” and finding pleasure in simple things.
– Complacency is based on rational thinking, whereas stress has a predominantly emotional nature.
– Maturity is manifested in the ability to doubt, think critically and not take everything on faith.
The meeting was held in a relaxed atmosphere, which contributed to a frank dialogue and emotional openness.
